On Monday 21 September, I joined with local residents and Dee Ryall MP, Member for Ringwood, at Maroondah Hospital to discuss the dire parking situation that patients and visitors face each time they visit the hospital.
The Coalition had a plan for Melbourne’s outer east and promised a brand new, fully funded, $1.2 million car park which would have been under construction now.  This would have meant an additional 100 spaces for families and patients to use, making a visit to the hospital a little less stressful.  Instead, nothing has been done and drivers are left with no choice but to park a long distance from the hospital, risk a fine by parking illegally or drive around aimlessly hoping that a space becomes available.
At a time of population growth, Daniel Andrews should be increasing Health funding instead of cutting it.  He is neglecting the Outer East.
