AT LAST – FUNDING FOR THE CROYDON COMMUNITY SCHOOL RELOCATION

The Liberal Nationals are very supportive of the relocation of Croydon Community School to a brand-new Education facility to be built at the former Melba College site at Croydon Road, Croydon.

As the Local Member, I have been an enthusiastic supporter of this project, having advocated for this funding many times in Parliament and having corresponded with the Education Minister at every opportunity.

I am thrilled that all the hard work has paid off with today’s funding announcement which will be well received locally and throughout the entire School community. Full credit to the Principal, Teachers, Staff and the entire School Community who have been patient, yet persistent in working towards this project.

Having worked hard to get the old buildings demolished and the site cleaned up at the former Croydon Secondary / Melba College site on Croydon Road, I am now pleased to see that the land will continue to be used for education purposes.

I look forward to seeing the full details of the project and will continue to work with the Croydon Community School to see the project delivered.

I will always be a strong advocate for funding and improvements for our local schools and I will fight to ensure the rebuild and relocation of Croydon Community School is delivered.
